Invented by the three-time Cape Epic winner, Stefan "Sahmurai" Sahm, the Sword repair kit has been designed to meet a growing need expressed by mountain bikers, and especially marathon racers: to be able to repair a tyre easily, carrying only a minimum of easy-to-carry equipment.

Realising that this system already existed in cars, Stefan Sahm had the idea of adapting it to the cycling world by creating a very simple kit that sits on the upright handlebar using a handlebar plug. The advantage is that these sharp, and therefore dangerous objects are carried in the safest possible way.

One plug hosts the reamer, which is used to open up the puncture, the other holds a plug fork to push the gummy worm through the hole.

The plug sits quite flush with the end of the bar with a diameter of 17mm or over, using a roughened surface making handling easier.
